Caspa Codina - 'Get Your Motor Started'

What the hell is this?  Who the hell let the Thin White Duke loose with Cher’s vocoder, a couple of car horns and the funkiest bassline since George Clinton got back on the jerk chicken?  Oh.  Hang on a second.  This isn’t Bowie, this is Caspa Codina.  But who the hell is Caspa Codina??  A man with more alter-egos than the devil spawn of Kylie, Madonna and Prince, that’s who.  You might know him better as MC Envy, grime artist Medasyn, one quarter of electro-punk band Spektrum, aaaaaand… Gabriel Olegavich, the production talent behind little ol’ ball buster Lady Sovereign.  So you’ll be expecting something pretty darn good.  And it’s OK.  ‘Get Your Motor Started’ is just not as good as it could be.  It’s sleazy, it’s disco, it’s the dark side of the 80s – and it’s the kind of thing you tap your foot to in bars.  Shame.
