    The Spice Girls long awaited comeback single, ‘Headlines,’ is struggling to secure a place in the top-10 of the UK singles chart.

    According to midweek sales figures, the single has only sold 5,278 copies to date and is currently sitting just inside the top-10.

    The much anticipated song, which has been released in association with Children In Need, is the girl group’s first new song as a five piece for nine years.

    The Spice Girls are set to embark on a World tour next month, which will see them play seventeen nights at the O2 Arena in London.

    • The single is being offered as a download for all their fans around the world. Other bands who have done these singles didn’t have anywhere near the world wide success The Spice Girls have. The press are just ignoring the facts, as per usual.

    • Also, the song is on the greatest hits...which was released last week. A huge number of people who may have bought it already own the song, and the b-side is some silly wannabe remix so there’s not much reason to buy it! They should have released this two weeks ago instead...

    • The song isnt their best. But surely Simon Fuller should of released the Song in CD Format the exact same week as the download on November the 5th to get a decent chart positioning before the album came out, which is number 2 in the album charts. That way they might of stoad a chance of a respectable top 3 for the new single. I blame bad release dates.
