Arctic Monkeys frontman Alex Turner reportedly gatecrashed Texas singer Sharleen Spiteri's 40th birthday party in London at the weekend.
After gaining uninvited access to the party a Bungalow 8 and drinking the free bar, Turner then proceeded to snub Spiteri when she asked him for an autograph.
“Poor Sharleen looked absolutely mortified,” one party guest told the Mirror. "She had plucked up the courage to go over to him for the autograph. She told him she was the lead singer in a band and was a massive fan of the Monkeys. She said she had been making music since before he was born."
They added: "Alex just shrugged and Sharleen kept saying how much of a massive fan she was. She said it was her birthday party and it would make her night if he could do it for her."
Apparently Turner reluctantly agreed to sign an autograph for the singer and was left shocked when friends told him who he she was afterwards.
