Wolfmother front man Andrew Stockdale has revealed that the three piece are currently working on an “epic” second album.
The band currently have ten songs written for the follow up to 2006’s self titled debut although they are yet to select a producer for it.
Stockdale told Rolling Stone: “It’s kind of cinematic, and it’s kind of epic. But there’s also this fully-aggressive side that’s undeniably explosive.”
One song in particular entitled ‘Back Home’ is Stockdale’s favourite but he says all ten are full of quality.
“Other bands are like, ‘Yeah, we wrote sixty songs and edited it down to this,’” he explained.
“We spend a lot of time on each song, crafting it, changing the key, changing the arrangement, and so on. We don’t like to write thousands of songs.”
The album looks set to be released in early 2008.
