Radiohead have said in a new interview that they hope they have put “some excitement” back into music with the radical release of their seventh album ‘In Rainbows.’
Band bassist Colin Greenwood, believes that the ‘pay as much as you want’ idea served as a direct reaction to an industry that was becoming “horribly predictable.”
In the interview with the Columbia University, he said: “I hope we put some excitement back into music; It’s all becoming horribly predictable. We got incredible feedback from a whole range of people who joined the biggest listening party ever on October the 10th.”
Greenwood was interviewed alongside Radiohead manager Bryce Edge, who gave an insight as to how the band will battle the dilemma of doing eco-friendly tours.
He explained: “The most important thing is to try and site concerts, which allow the audience to travel in a sensible way. That is the most important factor by far.”
