Mos Def has drafted in the help of Kanye West on his upcoming new album.
The as yet untitled record will be Def’s debut for the independent imprint Downtown Recordings and will see West at the helm for a number of tracks.
Def has previously collaborated with the megastar rapper when he lent his vocals to the track ‘Drunk and Hot Girls’ on West’s latest album ‘Graduation.’
Mos Def will be hoping that the record is infinitely more successful than his last effort ‘Tru3 Magic’ which has sold just 86,000 copies in the States to date.
The album will be a nice break for Def, who, according to Reuters, has nine movie roles in the pipeline.
