Sigur Ros have revealed that they are busy working on their fifth studio album proper.
The Icelandic outfit are working with esteemed producer Flood – of Nine Inch Nails, U2 and PJ Harvey fame – over the next two weeks to start the foundations of the record.
Band drummer Orri Páll Dýrason told newspaper Fréttablaðið: "We're gonna try working with him for two weeks and see where it takes us.”
He continued that the band have opted to record away from their own studio Sundlaugin and are instead working in the Icelandic capital: “We want to take a break from Sundlaugin, distance ourselves a bit. We will be renting a house in downtown Reykjavík and record the album there."
The record will be the follow up to 2005’s critically lauded ‘Takk.’
