The Lemonheads frontman Evan Dando has said that the band will release a new album next April.
Dando said that the group will go into the studio at the start of 2008 – although he remained tight lipped on what the new material will sound like.
“Yeah, there is new music, and I'll be recording in January,” he told Billboard. “But I don't want to talk about the record too much."
The as-yet-untitled album will be the follow-up to their 2006 self-titled LP.
Dando also revealed that there are plans to release a deluxe edition of the band’s 1992 album, ‘It’s A Shame About Ray,’ which will include bonus material.
The re-mastered version of the album is due for release next March.
