Autopsy Carried Out On Kanye West's Mother

An autopsy on Kanye West’s mother, Donda has been completed following her shock death on Saturday, the Los Angeles County coroner’s office confirmed yesterday.

According to spokesman Ed Winter, the findings on the first autopsy on West – who died on Saturday after undergoing tummy-tuck and breast reduction procedures – contained “nothing apparent that jumped out at us.”

He continued: "The findings of the autopsy have been deferred pending the receipt of additional tests that have been ordered by the Deputy Medical Examiner.

"The final cause and manner of death has not yet been established. It is anticipated that the additional tests that have been ordered will take 6 to 8 weeks to complete.

"There was nothing apparent that jumped out at us. That is why we are deferring this at this point. The doctor said everything appeared normal."

The 58-year-old – who was operated on by Dr. Jan Adams on November 9 – was sent home following her procedures which according to Winter took five to eight hours.

The former academic was experiencing respiratory problems on November 10 and was found unconscious and unresponsive when paramedics arrived at her Los Angeles home.

She was rushed to Centinela Freeman Regional Medical Center, where she was later pronounced dead.
