More Oasis - Watch Oasis - Lyla
Liam Gallagher has said that Oasis have no plans to follow Radiohead and allow fans to choose what price they pay for their next album.
Like Radiohead, when they released their latest album ‘In Rainbows’ in October, Oasis are currently without a major label deal.
Gallagher said, however, that it would be over his "dead body" before he went into a studio and worked hard to release an album for nothing.
The Oasis frontman was talking during the recording of the band’s seven studio album, which will be the follow-up to 2005’s, ‘Don’t Believe The Truth.’
He told Reuters that the band have been making quick progress on the album since they entered Abbey Road on November 5th, adding that they hope to have completed it by December so that they can head to LA to mix it in the New Year.
Gallagher said that “without a doubt” the release – which has once again seen them team up with Dave Sardy - would compare to the seventh albums of the Beatles and the Rolling Stones.
"There's lots of cool parts, man. Really, we're throwing everything at it. It's gonna be cool, man," he said.
He also added that brother Noel was being less particular with the new songs in comparison to the band’s last album.
"Hopefully our kid's learned his lesson," he explained. "It shouldn't be hard making music. We've been doing it long enough."
- It’s because Oasis are fucking shite and Radiohead are immense.

- The only reason why Oasis wouldn’t ”do a Radiohead” is because they know that no one would willingly choose to spend their hard earned money for music they know will be poor.

- Agreed.

- seconded

- 3 little nobs in a little nob discussion. enjoy yourselves lads.
