Kanye West Thanks Fans For Support Following Mother's Death

Kanye West has issued a statement thanking fans for the support they have pledged following the death of his mother.

As previously reported, Donda West died in a Los Angeles hospital on Saturday (November 10th). She was 58.

West’s publicist said that the rapper "would like to thank everyone for the outpouring of support and kind words that have come in from across the country since the death of his mother."

An official cause of death has yet to be issued, with reports claiming that Donda West died following complications arising from cosmetic surgery.

According to gossip website TMZ, Dr Jan Adams performed two cosmetic operations on West’s mother, but added that the death could have resulted from medical problems.

A spokesperson at Centinela Freeman Regional Medical Center in Marina Del Ray where Donda West was taken said that attempts to resuscitate her “were unsuccessful.”
