For Beatles' last album...

Paul McCartney has revealed that Thom Yorke turned him down when he asked him to collaborate on his latest album.

In an interview for T4 he said that he had asked Yorke but was truned down because the front man didn’t feel comfortable working on other people’s material.

He said: “My daughter was putting an album together and she put us in touch. I asked Thom to do a duet, but he said he couldn’t because he only felt happy working on his own and Radiohead’s material.”

McCartney worked with long time Radiohead producer Nigel Godrich on his last record ‘Chaos And Creation In The Backyard’.

  • Thank God Thom refused, Did MAcca a favour. Radiohead are well overrated and would have ruined Maccas work!

  • Thom Yorke is a depressing twat! Don’t get me wrong I love Radiohead Long live Macca! I love Silly Love Songs! (”What’s wrong with that?”) Guaranteed when Macca joins his mates upstairs, Yorke’ll be kicking himself. And any of you people who slag Macca would shit yourselves if you ever were face to face with him and ya’ll know it. Wankers!

  • Radiohead are shunning the corporate monster with ”IN RAINBOWS” while Babyface is recording with that bottom feeding behemoth STARBUCKS. 2+2 does not equal 5 here folks, it’s simple; Thommys still got a soul; the big Mac lost his a long time ago.

  • are u kidding?! thom produces WAY better music and he’s only being true to himself. the beatles were great but not mr. mccartney on a solo basis. maybe u can’t see past the ”depressing” connotations because you’re not truly paying attention to what’s going on.
