Kylie Minogue has spoken of the “anger” that she felt when she was diagnosed with cancer and how it affected her new album, ‘X.’
Minogue has since made a full recovery from an aggressive form of Breast Cancer which she was diagnosed with in 2005.
Co-hosting Jo Whiley’s show on BBC Radio One, she said: “I think the anger came out as energy and I wanted to know that I could do what I had done before.
“I kind of went nuts in the studio for a week which was cathartic."
Describing her first week back in the studio, Minogue said she was like a “bat out of hell,” adding, "I just wanted to record anything and everything."
The Australian singer also told listener’s that she was still taking medication for her treatment.
“Now I know more than before that life isn't a straight road and it takes us on some unexpected turns and it's the experience that matters, and what you do with that," she said.
