Babyshambles have pulled out of a charity gig at Islington Union Chapel on November 20th.
The band had been due to open the nine day acoustic Mencap Little Noise Sessions in London alongside Jack Penate, Laura Marling and Joe Lean And The Jing Jang Jong.
A statement on the events website has not given any reason for the band’s cancellation.
The news follows frontman Pete Doherty’s heroin relapse last week. The singer is understood to have since begun another voluntary course of rehab.
As it stands, the band’s UK arena tour, which gets underway in Manchester on November 22nd, will go ahead as planned.
Meanwhile, other artists scheduled to play the Mencap sessions, include, The Enemy, Keane and Biffy Clyro.
