The Coral have revealed plans to move into the world of movie soundtracks.
The group’s keyboard player, Nick Power, said that it will give them the opportunity to showcase their more experimental side.
"You've got to mix it really. If you want to be a commercial band - we love the pop side as much, but you're sort of always pulling away in different directions, y'know, if you've got an outlet to do that it'd be amazing, so we want to try and do that," Power told the BBC.
Power revealed that the band have already been making a few films – which has also seen them test their acting and directing abilities.
"We're on a different path: we're going into film scores,” he said. “Just working on a few movies of our own first; do the soundtracks, maybe release them and you get the momentum for the films to be released then, so you build your profile a bit."
When asked what type of movies the band have been making, Power said fans should expect “everything.”
