Ex-Sex Pistols manager Michael McLaren has shocked TV bosses by pulling out of, ‘I’m A Celebrity: Get Me Out Of Here,’ before it gets underway.
McLaren and his fellow ‘celebrities’ had been due to enter the jungle on Saturday (November 10th).
"He flew 5,000 miles to take part but on the day they were due to go into the jungle he changed his mind," an ITV spokeswoman said.
No reason has been given for McLaren’s unexpected departure from the programme, reports the BBC.
McLaren had joked before departing for Australia that the only thing he knew about the show was that Sex Pistols frontman John Lydon had once been on it.
McLaren’s exit has left former Catatonia singer, Cerys Matthews as music’s only representative.
