‘Bonafied Lovin’’ is the 2nd gem to come from ‘Fancy Footwork,’ released last summer. After supporting Bloc Party on tour with their first album, it’s now time to establish themselves in our little world of electro. If you haven’t heard about these chaps they’re a duo who grab 70s inspired funk and effortlessly dollop it into modernised electronic beats. “I’ll give you Bonafied Lovin’ /The type that makes you feel old” is sung in their usual meticulous soulful style over a slick melody. And with 5 remixes of the track (including The Teenagers), it’s obvious that everyone wants a helping of Chromeo.
