The Killers are set to commit commercial suicide if their plans to duet with The Rocket Man himself, Elton John, go ahead.
The Las Vegas outfit have been buoyed on by their Lou Reed collaboration on the track ‘Tranquilizer’ and are now seemingly getting a bit trigger happy.
Frontman Brandon Flowers explains: “It would be nice to work with someone new, you know? It seems like nobody gets together enough any more.
“It would be nice to do something with someone like Elton John.”
Flowers was speaking ahead of the release of The Killers’ b-sides and rarities album 'Sawdust', and explained to the Daily Star that they’re hoping to evolve with their next studio album.
He continued: “I hope we change so it’s not so boring. I’m looking forward to it.
“There’s always going to be the four of us playing, so whatever that is, that will be there. We strive for excellence.”
