Imagination - 'Just An Illusion'

1982 was a big year; Ozzy did the bat thing, E.T. appeared on the big screen and Thatcher caused the most ridiculous war in history. Could it be that it's just an illusion putting me back in all this confusion? Cue Imagination and their release of the semi-classic ‘Just An Illusion,’ a track that was recently rebuffed with it’s inclusion on Erol Alkan’s Bugged Out cd. Fast-track to 2007 and a Hans-Peter Lindstrom remix using only the original parts. This is the problem. The result manages to contain all the glitter of the original but doesn’t provide enough of an update to give the track any relevance. Remixing a classic doesn’t result in a classic.
