Don Henley from The Eagles says that their number one album ‘Long Road Out Of Eden’ will be their final output together.
The record – their first studio recording in 28 years – has trounced Britney Spears’ ‘Blackout’ in the battle for number one on both sides of the Atlantic, and Henley has hinted that this feat won’t be repeated again.
The drummer/vocalist said: “This is the final statement. We got back together and went around the world twice on tour but then there was nothing left to do without new music.
“Now we have this album that fits in with our body of work. There won't be another Eagles album after this."
The record shifted a massive 711,000 copies in the US last week, dwarfing Britney Spears’s sales of just 290,000 units.
