Sadly, In recent weeks Paul McCartney’s name has been more synonymous with his bitter split with Heather Mills and his alleged romance with an American Millionaire than his musical pedigree.

We’ve decided to roll back the years at Gigwise and celebrate the musical institution that is Sir Paul, with our Gallery of The Beatle through the years.

In there, you will see Macca as a teenager, his embarrassing Frog Chorus days, a few fashion nightmares (notably the shot of Wings in 1974), japing with the rest of The Beatles and some classic solo performances.
