Heather Mills: 'Paul McCartney Is A Skinflint'

Heather Mills has branded her former husband Sir Paul McCartney a “skinflint” in a new interview.

Ms Mills’ latest outburst comes after she launched a campaign last week against certain aspects of the media in which she also attacked the former Beatle.

"This is a man that hangs on to his money,” Ms Mills told Hello!. “He wouldn't be rich if he didn't. Who needs that kind of money?"

Ms Mills told the magazine that all she now wants is the opportunity to defend herself.

"I offered to Paul that if he protects me from the inevitable hatred I'll receive because I am a wife of a Beatle, I'll never say anything derogatory about him,” she explained.

"He wants me to be gagged and they won't give me a divorce until I'm gagged. So I'm waiting for the two-year separation. I've been this dormant volcano for 18 months and now I've had the explosion of my feelings." 

After comparing her life to that of Princess Diana and Kate McCann on GMTV, Ms Mills has now said her problems with the media resemble Paula Yates – who died of a drugs overdose seven years ago.

"They abused her and then suddenly turned it around when she was dead,” Ms Mills said. “Well, I'm not going to have that."
