    Meat Loaf Cancels Entire European

    Due to illness...

Meat Loaf has cancelled his entire European tour because of a cyst on his vocal chords.

The announcement comes after the singer cut short a show in Newcastle last Wednesday (October 31st) – which was later blamed on acute laryngitis.

In a statement the singer said: "It really breaks my heart not to be able to perform these shows. I will be back."

Speculation has surrounded the singer’s future after he reportedly told the crowd in Newcastle last week that it would be “the last show I may ever do in my life."

It's not yet known when or if the dates will be rescheduled.

    • That’s a bit harsh Sophie but I know what you mean - were you at Newcastle by any chance? I was and it was pitiful. I want to see him, for free, at his best when he’s well, i.e. after he’s either had his throat sorted out or dried out. I don’t know whether to blame him or his promoters. • I was at Newcastle on 31st and an apology would be nice. ML says he’s heartbroken at having to cancel - what about his fans? The truth would be nice too. Check out the Northern Echo tomorrow (7th Nov) re a story on refunds or email meatloafrefund@aol.com
