Doves have holed themselves up on a Cheshire farm to record the follow up to 2005’s ‘Some Cities’.
The record has been pencilled in for a 2008 release and is et to be produced by Dan Austin (Massive Attack, Cherry Ghost) after they had previously recorded tracks with John Leckie.
Writing on their Myspace blog Jez Williams said: "We immediately clicked. As a result the recording is very intuitive. So, the mood is really positive and upbeat in the Doves camp."
Williams also promised a lot of touring for the album adding: "We will try and visit as many places as possible."
‘Some Cities’ debuted at Number 1 in album charts while the lead single ‘Black And White Town’ peaked at Number 6.
