The O2 Arena in London has reopened today (October 30th) after a suspected Ammonia chemical leak.
Twenty-nine staff from the venue – formerly known as the Millennium Dome – were admitted to hospital yesterday (October 29th) after ammonia leaked from the Ice Rink plant room, reports the BBC.
The recently re-launched London venue has enjoyed huge success in recent months, housing a number of high profile concerts, including Prince’s 21-night London residency.
The venue also saw the Rolling Stones bring their Bigger Bang world tour to a close in August with three shows.
A spokesperson for the venue said: "There was a minor ammonia leak last night at The O2. The building was immediately evacuated."
The venue has confirmed that it has launched a full internal investigation to the incident.
The arena is due to host seventeen Spice Girls shows starting in December as part of the girl group’s reunion world tour.
Tickets for the shows are on sale now and are available through Gigwise by clicking the Buy Tickets link below.
