York’s Elliot Minor claim ‘to sound like nothing you’ve heard before’ - a bold statement but considering they come classically trained (collectively in violin, piano, clarinet, cello, double bass, saxophone and singing, don’t you know) it could hold true. Unfortunately, they take influence from the All-American Rejects and Queen. The result, ‘The White One Is Evil,’ could easily be mistaken for Busted/McFly with a full orchestra in tow. The talent/tutor ships obviously there, they just need a kick in a non-CD:UK direction. To the tuck shop…post-haste.

    Released 29/10/07 on Warner.

    • I think you need a career break with extensive re-training as you’re obviously not up to the job you’re currently trying to do and you are failing badly. The band has released two singles prior to The White One Is Evil and both have reached the top 40, with Jessica getting into the top 20. Busted and McFly are nothing compared to this band. Time will tell and you will be proved badly wrong. Have you actually been to one of their gigs?

    • Elliot Minor are amazing. I would ramble on with all the reasons why this is an unfair review and how brilliant they are. But it would take too long. BUY THE ALBUM. Then you’ll see what they’re really made of!
