A hospital spokesman has said that Opera singer Russell Watson is “on good form” following emergency surgery to remove a brain tumour.
Michael Stroud, executive director at the Alexandra Hospital in Cheadle also said that Watson is expected to leave intensive care later today (October 26th).
Watson’s condition had been described as “critical” after undergoing a three hour operation to remove the new growth.
The opera singer – nicknamed ‘The Voice’ – also had a benign tumor removed in an operation last year.
Watson was admitted to hospital on Wednesday (October 24th) after falling ill while recording his new album, reports the BBC.

- My Son who is 13 has just been diagnosed with a brain tumour, luckily it is benign but still life threatening. I hope the stupid twit who wrote this may never feel the pain that I and my family are feeling right as this moment let alone what it will do to my son. I am sure Russell and his family would like to live a normal life and selling his album must be so far away from their thoughts at this moment. If you knew a loved one with this problem you would not write such a stupid comment!!!!!!!
