Noel Gallagher joined The Coral for a guest appearance during the Wirral outfit’s show for the BBC Electric Proms last night.
Seven songs into their set, frontman James Kelly told the sold-out crowd that their “mate” was going to join them for a song before Noel Gallagher bounded onstage.
Speaking to BBC6music afterwards, Gallagher admitted that he wasn’t too well rehearsed: "I was supposed to rehearse yesterday but as I have recently become a Dad, my little lad put pay to that the night before by keeping me up all night, so I was knackered.
“So I just couldn't do the sound check but, you know, I am a musician, I know what I am doing I listened to the song a few times, Bill sorted me out the chords and that was that... that was the third time we played it.”
Later in the night Mark Ronson was joined by Ricky Wilson for a take on Lily Allen’s take on his own hit ‘Oh My God’ (confusing we know).
The night also featured performances from scouser Candie Payne, Adele and Sean Lennon.
