Vampire Weekend played their first ever London show last night as they continue to storm the UK on their current UK tour.
The much hyped New York quartet played an eleven song set packed full of preppie African riddims to a bulging crowd at the Borderline that included several indie luminaries.
They include Jack Penate who is well known to be a big fan of the band and sung along to nearly every song in the set.
The set was begun with the band’s debut single in the UK ‘Mansard Roof’ and also included the tracks ‘A-Punk’, ‘Cape Cod Kwassa Kwassa’ and ‘Oxford Comma’.
Vampire Weekend finish up their short stay in the UK tonight with a show at the Social in London.
The set list at the Borderline was:
Mansard Roof
Campus
Cape Cod Kwassa Kwassa
Bryn
M79
A-Punk
One (Blake’s Got A New Face)
I Stand Corrected
The Kids Don’t Stand A Chance
