Simian Mobile Disco's James Ford has revealed he's finished recording Alex Turner's side-project album with ex-Little Flames guitarist Miles Kane.
The Artcic Monkeys frontman recorded the new record with his pal and Ford in Paris recently, with the results expected to be released by the end of the year.
Ford tells the BBC, "It was amazing, really quick and we had fun, played ping pong, ate cheese and drank red wine."
However, he adds that the record still needs to have string arrangements put on it before being signed off.
"We're doing some strings with a guy called Final Fantasy who does a lot of the Arcade Fire strings," he explains.
"The stuff we were really listening to was like Scott Walker and I think there's some really great songs on there.
"We'll probably finish it off towards the end of the year and it'll probably be out next year. But I can still listen to it and enjoy it, which at this stage in the album making process is rare."
