The Eurythmics’ Annie Lennox fled from the stage at a gig in Colorado earlier this week after she spotted a fan wearing a cape and a gas mask in the audience.
The incident happened near the end of Lennox’s performance at the Macky Auditorium on Tuesday (October 16th).
After fleeing the stage, Lennox only returned once the 32-year old man had been removed from the venue, reports WENN.
When she returned to the stage, Lennox apparently deemed the man “Mr Nightmare On Elm Street” before completing the rest of her set.
Writing on her blog about the incident, Lennox said: "That was really freakish and disturbing... He owes me and my band a ****ing apology."
According to the Police, no charges were brought against the man because he didn’t attempt to climb on to the stage.

precious, annie! when you came strutting onstage at saddlers wells wearing a leather jacket and a tuque, your attitute completely put me off and i hated the rest of the show. you owe me a ****ing apology!
- what is wrong with wearing a cape? As far as the gas mask is concerened - it isn’t illegal. Annie owes gas mask man an apology for talking out of her arse. Perhaps that is why he was wearing the mask in the first place?

- Maybe he thought she was going to play tracks from her latest album ’Songs of Mass Destruction’ and was just taking precautions?!?!?

- robdfish you wish you were at the concert.
Only a ****in freakshow attention seeker would wear a gas mask to a concert. Must of been confused and thought he was attending a Marilyn Manson concert.
Rob, Lord Jack and funny fuc should find out who the Nightmare on Elm St. guy is, sounds like you would get along good together. Must be Bush lovers. (Not that kind of bush.) The one that is hell bent on destruction at all cost.

- clearly non of you are fans so why bother reading?? Annie Lennox is an amazing performer and how can anyone call her precious when you are offended by a leather jacket... the word ”loser” comes to mind! From reading posts from fans at the gig the guy was indeed behaving oddly and security was apparently at fault that the guy got to where he did as he was initially seated in a balcony!
