Editors’ bassist Russell Leech believes that Radiohead should have let their fans listen to ‘In Rainbows’ before deciding on how much money to cough up for it.
Leech said that he had not yet downloaded the record and was not totally impressed with Radiohead’s revolutionary move: "I think if Radiohead wanted to be really clever then they should let people listen to it first then decide what to pay."
He also expressed his fears that this move may affect smaller artists, saying: "I worry for new acts and where that leaves them when they need financial help and support from a record label."
He finished by saying that the days of the CD are no longer over. As Ananova reports, he continued: "I still like buying things on vinyl and CD as a collector. I don't quite trust bitrates and hard drives.
"We've all seen those films where super electronic meltdown happens. We don't want that to happen with music!"

- total pud

- There’ll be a way round it, everyone will be fine, I really think so. Everyone should just chill out or something?

- Russell Leech is a whiney douchebag. He can download it for free and listen to it. If he likes it and feels like paying for it, he can download it again.

- There’s a reason he’s the bassist to the editors. Because he has nothing else to offer the world. And why get his point of view on anything? I rather hear what the President of Iran thinks about Radiohead than this guy.

- you pay 0 first download, you listen, you like, you think they deserve more, you go to website, and pay 20 quid this time, and no need to download, you idiot...
