U2 are to put their name to the first ever skyscraper to be built in Ireland.
The €200 million, ‘U2 Tower,’ will be built in the Docklands region of Dublin and will stand at 120m tall.
According to PA, the band will move their recording studio to the summit of the tower when it is opened in 2011.
The future landmark has been designed by Norman Foster, who is also responsible for the Gherkin in the city of London.
Work on the ambitious project is scheduled to begin at the start of next year.
