Blondie’s Debbie Harry has given Hollywood actress Kirsten Dunst her full support as the actress prepares to play the Blondie star in a forthcoming movie.
Following reports that Harry was unhappy that Dunst had been cast to play her in the new biopic, the singer has revealed that the pair have now met to discuss the project.
Harry told Spinner: "She's (Dunst) a really sweet person. I've met with her a couple of times and hung out with her socially. She's just a sweetie.
"She's probably capable of a lot of things she hasn't been asked to do yet, and doing something that's sort of left of centre would be great for her."
Dunst has already had to respond to Blondie fans who had questioned her casting in the new Michael Gondry film. She told them that if they had any problems that they should “take it up with her.”
