US rapper T.I. was ordered to stay in jail for at least three more days by a Federal Judge yesterday (October 15th).
T.I, real name Clifford Harris, was arrested in Atlanta on Saturday on illegal weapons charges after his bodyguard allegedly took delivery of three machine guns and two silencers on the rapper’s behalf.
At yesterday’s hearing, Judge Alan Baverman, told the rapper that Federal law requires that he is kept in jail “pending the holding of a detention hearing."
According to AP, Harris – who appeared nervous in court - only spoke to confirm his name and answer the Judge as he explained the forthcoming legal process.
Following the hearing, Government agents showed reporters a number of the guns that were found in Harris’ possession.
Among them were an AK-47 and two AR-15s rifles.
Harris had been due to appear at the BET Hip-hop awards on Saturday – the day that he was arrested.
