Keane do have some standards after all – they turned down the opportunity to work with Britney Spears.
Despite hawking their gargantuan pop writing skills to popstars including Gwen Stefani and, er, the Pussycat Dolls, the boys decided to rebuff the advances of Britney in order to ‘retain their dignity’.
Keyboardist Tim Rice-Oxley explains to The Mirror, “We turned down Britney Spears. After the Gwen thing we were offered a lot of work.
“But both Gwen and Nicole from Pussycat Dolls are phenomenally talented, and we wouldn't want to start diluting that level of musical quality."

What a moron. Does he know he is in Keane?? How much more mundane and pointless could they be?

- A lot.

- My response to their statements would be: And who are you? EXACTLY.

- They are a bunch of stuck up snobs with limited ability

- Yes, the gap in quality between the Pussycat Dolls and Britney is astounding. Bravo on the decision- making.
