Coldplay are currently mixing tracks for their new album, it’s been reported.
The album, which has been recorded alongside producer Brian Eno, is due for release next year.
According to King Creosote, his producer, Jon Hopkins, has also been working with the band and recently mixed a song with Coldplay frontman Chris Martin in America.
He told BBC 6 Music: "He'd done a mix of a song for them, I think they're really happy with that. I don't know if he's gotten yet to do a collaboration or not, but I think it's going really well for him, I think he's been over in LA for a week.
"And it was just him and Chris Martin,” says Creosote. “There he was with the main man sitting having breakfast together and what have you."
Creosote also revealed that Hopkins had sat in on keyboard for the band while they were rehearsing tracks for the new album.
He added: "I don't know whether he gets to go and play live with the band or not."
