Baggy-trousers-loving preacher MC Hammer has denied several internet reports that he is dead.

A number of sites around the net had claimed that the ‘U Can’t Touch This’ singer – real name Stanley Kirk Burrell - had popped his clogs.

But speaking to TMZ, the singer’s people have rubbished the reports, instead claiming that they were getting mixed up with a person who shares MC Hammer’s real name - Stanley Burrell. 

To prove the point that he is very much alive and kicking, his representatives also revealed that Hammer is about to start up and internet site called DanceJam, where he judges videos of people dancing.

Ahhh... we can all breath a sigh of relief.
