Nine of former Beatle George Harrison’s solo albums have been made available digitally for the first time.
Thanks to the deal, it’s now possible to download music by all four former Beatles via the internet.
As it stands, it’s now only the Beatles back catalogue which is still not available for fans to download - although it’s hoped that today’s (October 10th) announcement will encourage label executives to release the band’s songs, reports the BBC.
Harrison’s widow, Olivia, said that today’s news was “exciting” for both Harrison and Beatles fans.
She added that Harrison "had begun the digital mastering of his albums but had no idea how the digital world would change the way we access and listen to music."
