Justin Timberlake, My Chemical Romance For American Music Awards

Pop star and renowned lothario Justin Timberlake has been nominated in three categories in this year’s American Music Awards.

The Trousersnake is up in the categories of Favourite Male Artist, Favourite Pop Album and Favourite R&B Album for his FutureSex/Love Sounds record. 

The awards, to be presented in Los Angeles on November 18, also see rockers Linkin Park, R&B chanteuse Beyonce and American Idol contestant-fronted rock band Daughtry contesting three categories.  

Linkin Park will do battle with the former Mouseketeer in the category of Favourite Pop Album, for 'Minutes to Midnight.' 

They will also hope to strike gold in the categories of Favourite Band, Pop/Rock and Favourite Artist, Alternative Rock, where they face competition from My Chemical Romance and The White Stripes.

This is the first time that the American Music Awards will be decided by viewer vote, through their website, here.
