Harvey Goldsmith Stands Firm In Led Zeppelin Ticket Code Clampdown

He refuses to budge...

Share

Harvey Goldsmith is standing firm on his decision to refuse entry to fans with Led Zeppelin ticket codes that don’t match the cardholders’ name to the o2 Arena show.

Despite this, he has offered some people a beacon of hope, writing on his blog: “There are a few people who genuinely want to come by may not have had a suitable credit card to pay for them.

“The answer to those people is very simple: if you are GENUINE you will contact us and give us a justified explanation.”

What’s clear though is that this “justified explanation” won’t include buying tickets off eBay and other such sites. The promoter is remaining unwavering in his view on the subject.

Goldsmith writes: “I am convinced that those who are bleating the loudest seem to be protesting too much for other reasons.”

He finishes: “I have no interest in supporting parasite businesses who prevent fans from supporting their artists by the increased price of tickets and who ultimately put nothing whatsoever into our business to support it.”

Those who have a ticket code for the show must turn up at the o2 Arena on November 25 or 26 with photo ID and their valid credit card that was used to pay for the ticket. They must also bring the person with them who is their guest. They will then receive their tickets.

  • What Mr. Goldsmith is doing by changing the rules as he goes is making it even harder for real fas to get the tickets, thus pushing the prices we fans have to pay higher and higher and supporing the so called parasite buisnees he is going on about. I tought this was a charity concert! so come on Mr. Goldsmith and show some charity to those fans who got tickets by way of you frist set of rules

  • Right on Mr. Goldsmith! Down with E-bay and these stupid ticket brokers. That’s why it was a lottery. If you’re not lucky then you just wait for the DVD or a replay. If you are then you pay Pound 125. If you registered with the hope that you can resell your tix then you’re a parasite. Deal with it!

  • last time i checked (alapaki) we live in a capatalist free market....do you know how how many non fans registered for the ballot because of the hoopla!!! additionally do you know how many mother son, father son, husband wife CREDIT CARD MISTAKES this would cancel dreams for....please understand what you are talking about before you jump on blogs and open your mouth!! As for Harvery, I think he should reconsider, why cancel tickets for people who obviously would give anything to go!!!

  • By changing the rules, Mr Golsmith, albeit with justified reasons in the eyes of many, simply did not think this through.
