A former work colleague of P Diddy has filed a $19million lawsuit against the hip-hop tycoon over alleged unpaid royalties from the late Notorious BIG.
James Sabatino, who used to work for Diddy’s Bad Boy Entertainment Inc., posted the lawsuit from inside jail.
He believes that because he escorted BIG – real name Christopher Wallace – to a show in Miami and a subsequent recording session, he deserves a stake in the monies earned from the 17 minutes of music and 90 minutes of video footage that was committed to tape.
Sabatino says that the material belongs to him as it was part of a verbal contract that was agreed on the condition that he paid for travel expenses and studio time, reports Billboard.
P Diddy’s (real name Sean Combs) representatives are yet to comment on the case.
