Bruce Springsteen has notched up his seventh UK number one with his latest long-player ‘Magic.’
The Boss thought off competition from the likes of Katie Melua’s ‘Pictures’ (2), Foo Fighters’s ‘Echoes, Silence, Patience and Grace’ (3) and Babyshambles’ ‘Shotter’s Nation’ which had the disappointing entry of number five.
Other new entries came in the shape of Annie Lennox’s ‘Songs of Mass Destruction’ at seven, Bob Dylan’s ‘Dylan’ at 10 and Gabrielle’s ‘Always’ at 11.
Over in the singles chart, Sugababes spent a second week at number one with ‘About You Now’, while Mark Ronson’s collaboration with Amy Winehouse – The Zutons cover ‘Valerie’ – debuted at seven.
