A photograph of a 17-year-old John Lennon shot almost 50 years ago has been uncovered.
The picture shows the Beatle outside Lime Street station in Liverpool in 1958 with his friend Nigel Walley. A team behind the BBC documentary Inside Out North West discovered the photograph.
Interviewed by the Beeb, Mr Walley said that he originally gave the photo to his brother, but it later went missing.
He explains: “It's very emotional for me seeing this photo again after all these years. John was a very good friend of mine.
"One thing I know John would have loved, was seeing this photograph. It's something I'll always treasure now."
