Britney Spears’ child custody case will return to court in Los Angeles today (October 3rd) for the first time since she was ordered to hand over her two children earlier this week.
On Monday (October 1st) the courts commissioner, Scott Gordon, ordered that Spears had over her two children to her ex-husband Kevin Federline "until further order of the court."
No reason was given for Gordon’s decision on Monday, although Spears’ lawyer, Sorrell Trope, told a magazine in the United States that it was because Spears had failed to comply with previous regulations made by the court.
Last month Spears was told that she must attend twice weekly drug tests and parenting classes because of evidence of "a habitual, frequent and continuous use of controlled substances and alcohol."
Today’s hearing will get underway at 9.30pm GMT. It’s not yet clear whether Spears will challenge the courts previous order at today's hearing.
