Stereophonics have been forced to cancel their upcoming xfm gig, following Kelly Jones’ horrific injury two weeks ago.
The frontman suffered a severe gash to his arm following a fracas in a West End nightclub, which doctors say could have resulted in him being unable to play guitar.
The scheduled show was meant to take place at the ULU on Saturday (October 6), but Kelly is on strict doctors orders to rest for a full three weeks.
Jones said of the cancellation: "Due to troubles in a dark seedy club and being thrown onto the street resulting in surgery and pampering by lovely nurses I am afraid to report I cannot play Saturday's show and for that I am gutted.
“My arm will return to full cannon force shortly and I will be back stronger than a bulldog trying to snap his chain. May your house be free from tigers. Bless you all. Kelly."
However, the band will still honour their Live From Leicester Square performance for Ian Camfield's Drivetime on Friday – performing three presumable stripped down tracks.
