Lily Allen will make her acting debut next year in a spoof remake of the classic novel Pride And Prejudice.
Entitled, ‘Jane Austen Handheld,’ the film will see Allen play, Lydia Bennett, with comedian Russell Brand starring as her lover, George Wickham.
The movie will go into production next Spring and will also see Stephen Fry play Allen’s father in the film, Mr Bennett.
Sprout, the production company behind the film, have yet to confirm who the lead roles of Elizabeth Bennett and Mr Darcy will be played by.
The film will be directed by Tristam Shapeero, whose past work has included Brass Eye and Peep Show.
