Pete Doherty has tested negative for drugs during his recent spell in rehab it's emerged.
Doherty was due to appear at West London Magistrates court this morning to be sentenced for drug offences but the case was adjourned until October 26th.
It’s understood that Doherty will instead now be allowed to complete his current rehabilitation programme at the Clouds clinic in Wiltshire.
Doherty will conclude his current rehab stint on Thursday (October 4th) before beginning an aftercare programme which will last until October 20th, reports the BBC.
Doherty’s lawyer, Sean Curran, said that District Judge Davinder Lachlar adjourned today’s hearing thanks to the singers promising progress.
"Pete's doing very, very well, extremely well and he wants to give himself a chance. The court knows he's tested negative for drugs throughout his residential programme - that's six weeks now.
"The judge wants to see how he's keeping after the aftercare before he goes back for them to assess him."
