Prince has been named the most underrated guitarist ever by Rolling Stone magazine.
The singer sensation topped the poll ahead of Nirvana frontman Kurt Cobain who came second in the list.
Rolling Stone readers were asked to vote for guitarists who didn’t make their top-100 Greatest Guitarists Of All Time survey.
The rest of the top five was completed by Neil Young who came in at number three and George Harrison and Ace Frehley who were voted at number four and five respectively.
The new accolade for Prince follows his mammoth residency at the O2 Arena in London which came to a spectacular end last month.
