Dirty Pretty Things manager Alan McGee has warned fans to expect something different from the band’s second album.
The band are currently in Los Angeles recording the follow-up to 2006’s, ‘Waterloo To Anywhere.’
Speaking from Los Angeles, McGee said that the band’s sound has become much more “melodic” in comparison to their debut.
He told XFM: “It's great, we've got five or six really big songs this time on the album whereas on the last album there was maybe only one really stand out big hit.
"It's really different as well, much more arty and much more pop,” McGee explained. “It's good and a really big change for them, it's much more melodic."
Working titles for songs on the album currently include, ‘Come Closer’ and ‘Plastic Hearts’ which the band have been road testing at festivals throughout the summer, along with new songs, ‘Blood Red Shoes’ and ‘Fault Lines.’
According to McGee, the new album won’t be in stores until at least the spring of 2008.
